After reactivating my plugins, I looked for three more plugins to add to my site. The following plugins were installed: Starter Templates, Broken Link Checker, and Yoast SEO. Let’s take a look at each of the plugins.
Starter Templates
When I was creating my site, I wanted a quick way to design my webpages. So I looked for a plugin to perform this task. Specifically, I wanted something that was easy to use and require little time. This was when I found a plugin that did just that: Starter Templates. This plugin supports many page builders such as Elementor, Brizy, and Gutenberg (the one I’m using), and uses the Astra theme as the base template. As its name suggests, Starter Templates offers a variety of templates to start your website, with as many as hundreds of different designs to suit your needs. Need a restaurant-themed template? Starter Templates has that. Law firm? Got it. And plenty of business designs. The best part is that many of these starting templates are free to use and customize. That way, you can focus more on how your website looks, like its colors and backgrounds, and worry less about how its organized.
Broken Link Checker
Broken Link Checker is a simple yet effective plugin for my website. Sometimes, the links you previously posted lead to dead ends, which can lead to confusion for users. Fortunately, there is a solution to this. This plugin works by looking for links across my site and checks to make sure that all the links redirect to other websites. If it detects a broken or missing link, the plugin sends you a notification to your Dashboard or email. In addition, the plugin provides you options on handling broken links such as displaying them differently on posts or preventing search engines from seeing them. By searching for dead links before it becomes a problem, Broken Link Checker is a valuable plugin for improving your site’s SEO and user experience.
Yoast SEO
As I was looking for plugins, one plugin that had caught my eyes was Yoast SEO. Considered to be among the best SEO plugins in WordPress, Yoast SEO is designed to optimize your website’s content and structure in order to get higher rankings on search engines. This plugin provides useful tools and features such as Google preview, which shows how your pages appear on Google, readability analysis, which makes sure your content is readable for search engines, and an extensive language support for expanding your site’s international reach. Yoast SEO was easy to setup, and using it has helped me understand how I can improve the content of my webpages.
